Nutty or Not!
The reason life works at all is because not everyone in our survivor tribe is nuts on the same day!
And on the days that we are nuts, another survivor is there to hold us up…
Survivors aren’t really like other people. And most of us are happy with that. We no longer require the approval of others anyway…
Many of us have learnt to stop having in depth conversations with people who don’t see a problem in their actions or their treatment of others. We’ve learned to stop being there for people who have no interest in our presence or in our attributes.
We know our worth is a battle we must fight for and we must win. We know many will fail to meet us on the stomping groud. And that’s okay with us too. We have the strength of a thousand men if one single survivor stands by our side during this mission.
If a survivor is forced to leave you behind, just remember it’s not a reflection on whether they are nuts or not. Nor does it mean that they don’t love or care for you. It simply means they have no desire to change who they are or as equally important, who you are. It just means they’ve learned to let go of the people who aren’t ready to accompany them on this journey.
Time is the most valuable thing we have in life, and its very limited. When we give our time to someone, that is something we can never get back. So, as survivors, nutty or not, we choose wisely who and what we decide to spend it on. Finally, our lives have become a safe haven, in which only compatible souls are allowed.
