If you were snatched from your mother or if your precious mama has died, there will never be a single day to pass that you won’t miss her.
There will never be a day where you don’t wish you could hear her voice or ask for her advice just one last time.
There will never be another time that she wipes your tears and holds you tight as your heart breaks.
There will never be a moment that you don’t regret the times you missed a visit, screened her calls, or made yourself unavailable simply because life was just too busy.
Then the day will come when you realise busy is fake! It isn’t real.
She was real and she is gone.
And you are here alone; without her.
The feeling of loneliness and abandonment is all-consuming.
The loss is nothing short of mind-blowing.
No matter how loved you are or how surrounded by family you may be, none of them are her.
The world is a lonely place to be when the woman who brought you here no longer exists.
Now it’s up to you to fill the role she once proudly filled.
The others now look to you for guidance, love, and wisdom. They need you to mother them.
Suddenly you realise those are mighty big boots to fill. And that is a shock!
But guess what? You’ve got this!
She taught you well.
She made you right, she made you strong, and she filled you with enough love to share around.
Make her proud.
And always remember to look out for the little girl inside of you who will always miss her mama.
